She can't wear a one-piece either because it'll ride up her bum, and/or bear her chest. The tankinis are perfect for her shape/body.

Is anyone a bad mom for putting bikinis on their kids? No way. There are WAY bigger issues than a bikini.

My stance on thjs issue has more to do with modesty and how girls see themselves.PSBBDesignshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16913630313289007032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-35791290098908415972007-05-10T20:43:00.000-07:002007-05-10T20:43:00.000-07:00Nothing sexual about the ad. Holy cow, the picture looks like something I would take of my daughter posing with a friend. Nothing wrong with that ad!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-14355088990679570592007-05-10T09:41:00.000-07:002007-05-10T09:41:00.000-07:00I also agree with psbbdesigns. Like some of you stated, I think there are plenty of cute 2-pc swimsuits out there that cover more and still let the child look like a child. Why on earth would a parent be okay with their 'baby girl' wearing barely more than floss out in public?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-12185205725835284282007-05-03T19:27:00.000-07:002007-05-03T19:27:00.000-07:00Here's a different spin on the bikini issue. My l...Here's a different spin on the bikini issue. My little girl is super skinny (she's 4) but has a really long torso. She can't help it, that's just how God made her. :)

For a 1 piece to cover her chest, it would have to be two sizes bigger than what she would normally wear, otherwise, it is too short, and I can't keep her chest covered (not to mention it's uncomfortable). When I got a one-piece that was long enough for here, it was very baggy in the sides because she is thin.

Bikinis seem to be the only type of swimsuit that fits her properly, so that's what she wears and we load up on sunscreen.

Does that make me a bad mom? I don't think so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-53356909300956119652007-05-03T08:27:00.000-07:002007-05-03T08:27:00.000-07:00Back in 1944, when pharmacist Benjamin Green inven...Back in 1944, when pharmacist Benjamin Green invented a lotion to darken tans. The company became famous the following year when it introduced the Coppertone girl, an advertising symbol showing a young blonde girl in pig-tails, with a mischevous young puppy biting her derriere, attempting to pull her bathing suit off, exposing her buttocks, showing the difference between her tanned body and her bare white backside. No One complained then and I understand about the freaks today, but Armani's pic is more innocent.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-44191453544610165872007-05-02T20:26:00.000-07:002007-05-02T20:26:00.000-07:00I have to agree with psbbdesigns. There is no way my little girl was going to be wearing that bathingsuit. I took her out and let her have her choice of a two piece that covered her belly completely. I think it is totally inapropriate with all the pediphiles out there. Just my opinion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-43961695327110204992007-05-02T18:34:00.000-07:002007-05-02T18:34:00.000-07:00I frequently read moms stating how disappointed th...I frequently read moms stating how disappointed they are with the clothing choices for young children, yet many allow their children to wear things that go against what they claim to believe in. I believe that it's contradictory and hypocritical to embrace purity and modesty but wear revealing clothes.

What is the purpose of wearing a bikini? Why expose so much skin? What is the goal with this? A one-piece or tankini serves the same purpose as a bikini, but it also keeps children appropriately covered.

If I am considering allowing my daughter to wear something that would be considered sexy on an adult, then I should examine what my real intentions are; and am I really thinking of my child's safety and modesty by allowing an inappropriate clothing decision.

Those adorable little girls still would have been cute if the bikini was another type of swimsuit, and none of this controversy would be an issue.

To me, it looks as though the purpose was simply to grab people's attention. Shock and awe.PSBBDesignshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16913630313289007032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-51515769420072030432007-05-02T18:10:00.000-07:002007-05-02T18:10:00.000-07:00they lok like lil hollywood kids to me LOL I thin...they lok like lil hollywood kids to me LOL I think it's cute and wouldn't think it offensive...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-82202872567409512962007-05-02T14:17:00.000-07:002007-05-02T14:17:00.000-07:00oh please..the child even has a belt on, are they ...oh please..the child even has a belt on, are they kiddingAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1753801475245494743.post-48078891691062655682007-05-02T12:25:00.000-07:002007-05-02T12:25:00.000-07:00I totally think it looks like 2 little girls!
